Makeup Tutorial: Your Christmas Party Look!

STEP 1. Prep the skin with your moisturiser.

STEP 2. Apply a primer such as Smashbox Photo Finish Primer to the forehead, nose and chin area and blend outwards towards the ear.

STEP 3. Using a Medium coverage foundation, here I used MAC Studio Sculpt in NC 20, blend it with a stipple brush or fingers in light movements over the skin.

STEP 4. Take a concealer and apply it sparingly under the eye and across the lid. I used Maybelline Fit Me Concealer here.

STEP 5. Conceal around the nose and chin area with the concealer. Set with a Translucent powder such as NO7 Perfect Light Loose Powder.

STEP 6. Apply Lancome Pro Base across the lid.

STEP 7. Take the pro base underneath the eye, under the lash line and keep softening it out so it doesn’t look like a line.

STEP 8. Using a dark brown pat it onto the outer corners of the eye and blend it underneath the eye also, bringing it in only a little. You can rim the entire eye if your eyes are quite large.

STEP 9. Take a medium brown shadow and blend it back and forth into the socket line.

STEP 10. With your finger pat the gold shade from Bourjois Colour Edition 24H across the centre of the lid. This will add some sparkle to your christmas party look.

STEP 11. Add plenty of mascara to upper and lower lashes. Define the brows with a brow pencil. Here I used MAC Lingering Brow Pencil.

STEP 12. Define the hollows of the cheeks with a little matte powder and add a highlighter over the cheek bones. I used MAC Mineralise Skin Finish in Medium Dark and MAC Soft and Gentle to highlight.

STEP 13. Add a plum toned blush to the apples of the cheeks.

STEP 14. Finish with a strong wine lip such as Smashbox Fig.
